Murder, Mayhem and Mystery – Russell Library

Sharon will be joining authors Nanci Abulaidar, Charlotte Rains Dixon, and Ann Goltz to discuss and celebrate the launch of her new novel, The Shutdown List, with host Grace Sammon.

Sharon will be at this craft fair, meeting readers, selling and signing books. Over 100 crafts booths will be present at this excellent facility with lots of free parking. A great opportunity to break up the winter doldrums. 

Sharon will be participating in this holiday event on Saturday, December 9. Twenty authors will participate. John Vitale and veteran brewer Scott Cross opened their brewery last year and offer a wide selection of craft beers brewed on the premises including IPA’s, stouts, porters, pale ales and Kolsch style beer. A food truck will be present both days.

Rule of 3 Brewing

Sharon will have a booth at this popular indoor holiday market in South Windsor in early December. The coffee bar opens in the morning, and the brewery begins pouring at noon. Food served throughout the day. A great opportunity to do some holiday shopping and enjoy refreshments.

Connecticut Valley Brewing was voted Best Local Craft Brewery in the Hartford Courant Readers Poll in 2021 and 2023.

Sharon will have a table at this indoor holiday craft and vendor fair, signing books and meeting readers, friends, and neighbors. Over 40 vendors will be present. All proceeds go to Portland Project Graduation, an all night event on graduation night to keep high school senoirs safe.

Sharon will be greeting readers at the She Writes Press booth, publisher of No Rules, at the Boston Book Festival again this year.

Celebrating the power of words to stimulate, agitate, unite, delight, and inspire, the 2023 Boston Book Festival will be celebrating 15 years.

Celebrate the Valley information

Sharon will be participating as an author at this Local Author Festival. This is the second in the series. The first in the series with different authors is August 22, 2023.

The event opens to the public at 6:30 pm; mix and mingle with the authors!

At 7:00 pm, formal remarks begin: each author will share a story or anecdote about their book.

At the end, there will be more time to mix and mingle with the authors.

Books will be for sale at this event.

Update: Due to rain on Saturday, May 20, this event has been rescheduled to Sunday, May 21. The Meet the Authors event will combine with specials at the stores and restaurants at the new Quarry Walk destination. Sharon and other local Connecticut authors will be meeting and greeting visitors, discussing their books, and selling and signing them. Sharon will also sign books you already own if you bring them along.

In addition, there will be live music on the green, as well as day-of raffles with over two dozen signed copies of books up for grabs. Visitors can also enjoy shopping and dining at any of the boutiques and restaurants located within Quarry Walk.

In this presentation, Sharon will discuss a component of memoir—bringing to life an era during which it occurred. Setting is part of this, but so are characters, experiences, and historical events. Sharon will share with you the ways to enhance this in your story.

Indie Author Day will be celebrated nationwide on Saturday, November 5, 2022. Each state has one location showcasing the event. In Connecticut, it’s at the Norwalk Public Library, this year with 100 authors attending.

Throughout the day, there are numerous pressentations and panels. Sharon will be a member of the panel Writing Your Life: Memoir, at 1:00 pm. Other panel members are Gabi Coatsworth, author of Love’s Journey Home, and Dana Buckmir, author of Everything Will Be Okay.

Sharon will be there all day, greating readers, and selling and signing books.

The Milford Readers and Writers Festival is returning in person, September 16 – 18, 2022 in Milford, Pennsylvania.

This three-day festival features both ticketed and free sessions discussing topics as diverse as American Food, Book Banning, and Writing about Rock and Roll.
